Shipping Complete! What's Next??!

I just delivered all the pre-orders / late survey orders to the post office. With this, shipping is now complete! Thanks so much for all your encouragement and support in getting us to this point!
So what's next? Well, we're not quite done yet. Here are a few answers to questions that might be on your mind...
Problem with your shipment?
A few people have already contacted me about errored shipments that never got delivered. If your order didn't get delivered or seems to be lost in mail system, go ahead and reach out to email@example.com. We'll take care it.
When will international orders be ready?
We still need to quality check all the sets of dice that will be made available for international purchase, and then get them processed into Amazon's system. Since it can take weeks just for Amazon to process the inventory at this time of year, we don't think these orders will be available until January or February 2018. We're sorry for the wait!
When will Sahara Sands be ready?
Really soon... I'm sorry I can't give a hard date. It's being polished up, and we'll get it into your hands as soon as possible.

Final 48 Hours to Update Your Shipping Address

Orders will begin shipping very soon, so if your address has changed since you filled out your survey, go update it now! After 48 hours, shipping addresses will start to lock down as orders go out.
The plan is to start shipping orders out on Tuesday and continue shipping through the end of the month.
You should get a shipping notification and tracking number when your order goes out.
If you're an original Kickstarter backer and you filled out your survey on time, your order will be shipped out by the end of the month. Pre-orders and late surveys will take a little longer.
We can't say the exact day a particular order will ship on, just that it will be some time within this window.
If you have a problem with your order, don't freak out! Just send us a message or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get you fixed up. Please be patient though, since we're a little busy right now ;)

We're still on schedule for November delivery. All of the dice sets are now in our hands, and over two thirds have been quality checked. The replacement d20s are on their way and should reach us in about a week. There's still plenty of work ahead of us, but I'm pretty confident we can get it all done in time.
One minor note is that we're changing our shipment plans a little in order to speed things up. Originally we were going to ship everything via Amazon's fulfillment service because we thought it would be the only way to manage a large volume of orders. Since then, we found that BackerKit has some really good tools for processing bulk shipments from home. Normally it takes a couple weeks for our inventory to reach Amazon's warehouses before it can be shipped out to customers. By shipping to you directly, we can shave off that extra time. We're still planning on shipping the 4-packs via Amazon because it's significantly cheaper that way and we think we can get that amount of inventory to the warehouse early enough to still go out on time. But for the rest of the pack sizes, the new plan is to ship them directly to you. This will help us stay on schedule and get everything out before the end of November.
As for international orders, I'm doing everything I can to have that inventory ready for you in December, but it's going to be tight.

Last Call for Order Updates!

As we continue to work towards the end goal of fulfillment, the time has come to lock down those backer surveys! The last day to make updates to your order is September 30th. After this date, we will lock your reward selections and charge cards for add-on item purchases, pledge upgrades, and pre-orders.
The reason for the lockdown is that we need to know in advance how many sets we'll be shipping out. If we left the surveys open right up until shipping time, we could get slammed with a bunch of last-minute orders from the Christmas rush, and end up short on dice.
Even though the reward selections will be locked down after this date, you'll continue to be able to update your shipping address until just before orders go out.

Production & Delivery Timeframe Update

I have good news and bad news! The good news is we've received the first shipment of dice and have begun to quality check each set. The bad news is we weren't happy with a lot of the d20 and have decided to replace them. Bottom line: instead of shipping rewards out in October as originally planned, we're going to have to push shipping back to November.
I know this sucks, and I'm really sorry for the delay. But I'd rather push things back a month than send out a product I'm not happy with.
We've started quality checking the first shipment of dice - about 1500 sets. Another shipment of 1500 sets will be arriving next month.
For the quality check, we inspect every die in each set as well as the bag. It's pretty time consuming, but it's necessary in order to catch some of the more subtle problems that the manufacturer may have missed.
By the time we checked several hundred sets in this way, it became clear that a very high number of the d20 had paint problems. For example, a common problem was for the d20 to be missing dots on the numbers 6 or 9.
Some of the d20 fared better than this, others fared worse. At the end of the day, enough were affected that we're going to have to replace them. We're ordering enough replacements to cover the 1500 sets already in our possession, as well as the 1500 sets that have not yet arrived (these sets used the same d20 manufacturing run and will thus be affected by the same problems).
The replacement d20 have been fast-tracked as much as humanly possible. Despite this, we're not going to be able to fulfill rewards in October any more. The replacements will probably arrive at the very end of October, which means shipping will spill over into November.
Again, really sorry to everyone who was hoping to get their dice in October. Rest assured, we're busting our butts to get these into your hands ASAP.
